Kate Cox

Director, West Valley Women

 

Kate Cox, Community Relations Director and Operational Manager for Heard Museum West, moved to Arizona from Boston, Massachusetts. Kate a native of Wisconsin, worked in the High Technology field in Sales and Marketing until 1993. Kate produced the first Email conference in the country in November 1993.
After only 3 weeks in Phoenix, Kate volunteered for the Indian Market at the Heard Museum. After 12 years as a docent, Past President of the Guild and Heard volunteer, Kate was recruited by the museum and joined the staff to head its newest location in Surprise, Arizona.

In addition to her Heard Museum background, Kate has been active in politics, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Toastmasters, Finders Keepers, Kate Cox Interiors business owner, partner in Cox Consulting and the CASA. Last fall, Kate was Chair of the POWER: Women in Business Conference sponsored by the Northwest Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Heard Museum West is celebrating its first year in the West Valley and encourages everyone to visit the museum and learn more about Indian Art and Culture of the Southwest.


 

Paulette Goldman

2008 Ambassador, West Valley Women

 

Paulette Goldman, Information Center Manager for Estrella by Newland Communities, moved to Goodyear Arizona from Cherry Hill, New Jersey in 2000. Paulette was a junior high school teacher in Cherry Hill where she taught English, reading and social studies. In addition to her teaching duties, she was involved with mentoring students, planning student activities, and training student teachers. She will tell you that corresponding with former students who are now doctors, lawyers, teachers, and even a TV producer, is among her favorite things to do.

When Paulette moved into her home at Estrella, she never realized that she would be working for the developer of her 20,000 acre community and eventually managing the award-winning Information Center. Paulette and the Community Representatives who work at the newly redesigned Center provide information to visitors on Estrella’s amenities and answer questions about Goodyear and the Sonoran Desert Valley. Christine Siler

2008 Ambassador, West Valley Women

 

Christine Siler President and CEO of Advanced Computer Performance. For 25 years, she has been in the computer/Information Technology industry. She moved to the Phoenix area from southern California in 1990. Christine calls North Glendale my home and I love this area.

ACP is a cutting-edge IT firm, managing your day to day computer system operations. They are expert web site developers and custom software application engineers. Every client is different, they custom-tailor your technology systems to fit you, "One Size, does not fit all".

Christine has earned Jafra's "Highest Sales" Award for the California High Desert Area as well as the Presidential Innovation Award. She worked with the Girl Scouts of the High Desert to earn merit badges. Christine was a girls soccer coach for 2 years for the AYSO. She am heavily involved in her grandson's Martial Arts - Tae Kwon Do and  home schools him. Christine was the recipient of the ABWA 2007 Women of the Year award.

 


 

Sharon Levinson

2008 Ambassador, West Valley Women

 

Sharon Levinson is a volunteer with the non-profit Careers through Culinary Arts Program [C-CAP] in Arizona. The program provides scholarship to high school students from 62 schools who compete to continue their culinary training. Scholarships are generally for students to go to local community colleges; however, several scholarships were given for 4-year Bachelor degree programs.

Previously Ms. Levinson was a consultant to several states on public policy issues. She worked with a private company implementing welfare reform in AZ and WI. Ms. Levinson worked in federal service for 23 years and for Los Angeles County child welfare and assistance programs after graduating from Cal-State University at Los Angeles.
 


 


Lisa E. Platt

Administrator, West Valley Women

 

 

Lisa E. Platt, a Business Concierge and owner of Errands Galore, specializes in working with busy professionals and small business owners helping them complete projects such as data base management, mailings, research information, and administrate reservations.

Lisa has served in many volunteer capacities including Friends of CASS, the auxiliary group for Central Arizona Shelter Services and Toastmasters International. Through coaching, mentoring and serving in various leadership roles, Lisa recently earned her Distinguished Toastmaster Award. Lisa believes in giving others the tools they need so they can reach their individual goals.

Linda M. Herold is the President of Herold Enterprises located in Scottsdale, AZ. Herold Enterprises produces WOMEN OF SCOTTSDALE and West Valley Women, monthly meetings designed to connect local women, and includes IDENTITY ARTS, a consulting practice. Linda also writes THE SOCIAL LIFE column for frontdoors Newspaper.
